Fall 2009: Kevin Costner & Modern West "Live On Stage" at RedHot Polodrom Jüchen

Legendary actor und Country&Western singer Kevin Costner visited Polodrom's RedHot-Café at Jüchen for 2 live gigs. Any doubts of Costner's Country&Western roots were resolved after the first tunes within the thrilled audience. The Reinert Sound Company from Neuss took care of the event. 4 stacks GAE Director, several System 10 for peripheral coverage and 222M floor wedges on stage brought the adventure to perfection. Costner promised a reunion in March 2010, then on the big Polodrom's open air stage at Jüchen. More: Polodrom.

07. November 2009: Welcome to the 80s - Scene 80 ...just Dance!

Thousands of partyfans and dancers met to the sixth Scene80-Party at Vreden. Beneath a complex light and rigging site audiokonzept from Gronau developed a perfect sound application. An ingenious center cluster equipped with GAE WaveLine enabled an implementation of customer's requirement of a consistent "loud" sound from DJ's stage up to the outer edge of the dance floor. Party guests should be enabled to have ome small talk beyond the floor. Cit. event organizer: „The sound was never so well-balanced and clear within the tent." August 2009: New installation of main sound system at Comedia Theatre Cologne

Finished moving the grand reopening of the Comedia Theatre at Cologne was celebrated at 29.08.2009.

The main venue containing about 400 seats was equipped with six elements WaveLine PT and two System 6 as Nearfield/Center.

2. May 2009: 12. Polo Biker Festival in Jüchen presents Top-Act H-BLOCKX

On May 2nd 2009 POLO, one of Germany's major supplier of biker's accessories, dedicated their brandnew headquarter premises "POLODROM" at Jüchen. The party was featured by H-Blockx, who got the audience rocking. Reinert Sound Company from Neuss was responible for the sound and light construction site.

The applied equipment did consist of:
F.O.H. 2x12 (Wing) + 6 (Vocal-Center) GAE WaveLine Line Array elements;
12 GAE EtaMax hornloaded basses;
8 flown GAE Director basses parallel to WaveLine;
8 GAE Director basses as center beneath the stage;
Director systems for nearfill application;
Stage monitoring (Wedges and Sidefill) several GAE systems.

As a result the event was a donnybrook with "rich" sound - as the newspaper described the sound of the presentation - and a successful upbeat for Polo's rich program of important artists within the Polodrom. Further information Polodrom.

April 2009: New Installation at University of Karlsruhe

Concerning the awarding of a comprehensive redesign of media technology within the auditoriums HMU/HMO the University of Karlsruhe assigns macom GmbH / Stuttgart with the technical planning and the site authority.

The sound reinforcement system consists of 3 GAE WaveLine elements and one GAE System 12 for nearfield application per cluster. Housings and mechanics were reduced to a minimum and adapted to special colours.

Expose Media Cologne at Lofthaus Düsseldorf

Since more than 2 years Expose Media Cologne as full service provider attends the "Lofthaus" at Düsseldorf. Under administration of Stöcker Eventmanagement the Lofthaus has raised to a first class event and media centre since it's opening. Without exaggeration the Lofthaus' list of references appears like a Who-is-Who of famous national and international companies.

Expose Media in cooperation with CVT Eventservice Cologne designs the sound conception depending on type and complexity with different types of the GAE product range. System 6 up to Waveline found it's way into the nobel ambience of Lofthaus.

April 2009: WaveLine PT - Youngest offspring from the good familiy GAE! Prototyping finalized.

Based on the performance of the 2006 launched WaveLine Line Array System we are proud to introduce the brandnew WaveLine PT. The since 3 years approved and unmodified concept of the “big” WaveLine system is moved to the basis of a 2x6,5”/1,4” system. GAE’s 20 years experience of wellknown efficiency in power capability and sound inspired the new small line array system WaveLine PT. Series manufacturing of the “WL PT” just started.

07.-16. November 2008: Lucerne Blues Festival goes for GAE

After a successful premiere for GAE in 2007 all involved look forward to this year's edition of the Blues Festival in Lucerne (CH). A thank-you to our sales-partner DMS, who managed the professional renewal of the F.O.H. and monitor site. The venue is equipped with 5 pcs. System 12 (one of them horizontal as center), 4 pcs. PS121T as delay line, 8 BR118 beneathe the stage and ProStage monitoring on the stage, powered by Crown I-Tech, the sound processing is performed by Soundweb. The vote at first hand: Bluesfestival

January 2007: Installation at Moscow's leisure centre "JIGSAW"

Long-time GAE-distributor Iberi in Moscow supported the installation of the "Karaoke Rouge", part of the well-known leisure centre "Jigsaw", with GAE. The dance floor of the "Sport Bar" has been equipped with 4 pcs. PS121T and 2 pcs. BR215. The Karaoke-audience's attention is attracted to the stage by 4 pcs. System 15, 2 pcs. BR218 and 4 pcs. System 6 as delay. The make-believe artist is pleased with 2 floor-monitors PS121M. By this new installation the "Karaoke Rouge" has been upgraded to a first class venue, offering an extraordinary sound performance - and a boldly coloured interior.

November 2006: AEN draws a first balance of a successful season with 12 GAE WaveLine elements

In June 2006 the company AEN Audio Equipment Nord GmbH – an experienced and convinced GAE-user - decided to acquire the GAE WaveLine-system. Having tested the system on most diverging occasions AEN’s well-versed sound engineer Thorsten Kellner in accordance with his associate Guntram Steinke concludes: “A successful season, which isn’t finished yet, endorses our decision to confide in GAE’s experience and quality.”

We are highly pleased with the most interesting operating experiences AEN made and are proud of our customer, who encourages our decision for high quality parts and no compromise in acoustical and environmental performance.

Oktober 2006: GAE System-series in Ballwil canton of Luzern/CH as figurehead for perfect system-integration

The company DMS-Concept GmbH from Emmenbrücke, directed by Thomas Dürger, implemented as Swiss GAE-sales-partner the planning and installation of the sound system in Ballwil’s renewed event-center.

The perfectly integrated speaker-system, including near-fill (System 12 80°x60°), far-throw (System 12 60°x40°) and delay-line (System 6), monitoring (System 10) and optional sublow assistance (BR118), controlled by a Soundweb 3088II, turn the congress-center into a state-of-the-art multi-purpose hall.

23. September 2006: Mülheim a.d.Ruhr/D completes open-air-season with impressive farewell party

Again this year the “Brunnenfest” -enduring three days- completed Mülheim’s open-air-season. The technical support was provided by ton:media:::, who utilized the new GAE Director-WaveLine System.

Employing six elements on each side made it possible to produce an excellent sound on the whole sloping place, which is surrounded by high house walls. FOH-engineer Michel “the Austrian” Schöbinger, GAE-developer Herwig Rabeneck, sales-partner Ralph Olligschläger and last but not least the audience brimmed over with enthusiasm for the felicitous happening. The line-array-system’s directivity, range, firmness and tonality made the event a triumphant festivity.

Hereafter the companies ton:media::: -Mülheim a.d.Ruhr- and CVT -Cologne- will hold the GAE WaveLine-System in their rental offers.

September 2006: PLASA-Show London, introducing GAE WaveLine to Great Britain

Since summer 2006 the SRD Group, directed by Stuart Roberts, possesses 12 GAE WaveLine-Systems. As longtime GAE sales partner in Great Britain the SRD Group exhibited at this year’s PLASA-Show disposing of its own sales booth.

Unfortunately some of the samples fell victim to the British anti-terror-campaign and –including the truck- were suspended in the customs. In spite of their explosive sound effects the GAE speakers had to be let pass and reached the tradeshow just in time to see it finish…

June 2006: Sound-Installation at Bielefeld's spa Ishara

Commissioned by the well-known recreational indoor-swimming bath and wellness centre Ishara the KGB Event GmbH has realized a complete conception for a sound-reinforcement system in several expansion stages. Special demands of the customer required a modular distribution system, which could be performed in an upgradable solution.

A selection of different types of GAE's System-Series, which were prepared for high humidity circumstances, offered an appealing and felicitous acoustical and optical result. All speakers fit in the chary and elegant interior of the Ishara perfectly.

01. May 2006: The new Director WaveLine Line Array System supplies sound for 10,000 listeners at the 1st of May demonstration in Wolfsburg/D

On 1st of May the main meeting of the Federation of German Trade Unions took place in Wolfsburg. About 10,000 people assembled to listen to DGB's chairman Michael Sommer and to enjoy a comprehensive entertainment program with live bands and comedians.

The F.O.H.-sound reinforcement system was supported by the brand-new GAE Director WaveLine Line Array System. The system was highly praised at its' first big event. The quality of sound was well assessed, technicians judged the clarity of sound and speech as well as the dispersion characteristics. The organisation committee and the attending TV companies were delighted with the sound.

The main contractor for the event was Beli Wolfsburg www.beli-online.de supported by Prisma Bielefeld www.prisma-veranstaltungstechnik.de.

12 pcs. GAE Director WaveLine, 18 pcs. Fohhn PS-7 subwoofer and 4 pcs. Fohhn RT-6 frontfill system were used to cover the F.O.H. area of the venue. Monitor sound engineer Frank Naujoks was taken with the high rearside damping of the line-array-system and the consequential "silence" on stage: "I did an easy job and was able to satisfy all wishes and demands of all the performers."

Juli 2005: GAE Director at the Red Place in Moscow

On the occasion of the election of the venue of the Olympic Games 2012 the main event was transmitted live from Singapore to Moscow's Red Place in front of the Kreml by TV.

Attending the election ceremony a superior Rock'n'Roll-party with well-known artists took place in front of 30.000 listeners.

One of Russia's most recommended rental companies - Spin Music Service (www.spinmusic.ru) - was responsible for lighting, sound, video and stage construction.

The F.O.H.-system was equipped with 12 pcs. GAE Director Top and 16 pcs. GAE Director Bass, 8 pcs. GAE 222M/A were used for stage-monitoring. 2 pcs. GAE DSC28 controlled the F.O.H.-system, monitoring was controlled with 4 pcs. GAE DSC24. LAB-Gruppen-Amplification took care for power.

In spite of a perfect show some downer remained: The choice was taken in favour of London...

Oktober 2003: The roundhouse opens it's doors!

After many years of deriliction the last vestiges of the former German Bundesbahn roundhouse in Bielefeld could be saved. At a meanwhile nearly 100 years old, historical location a modern and amazing event centre of an excellent standard could be realised. The companionship "Ringlokschuppen Bielefeld" thereby followed it's ambitious aims shouldering big efforts.

01. Juni 2000: Autostadt at Wolfsburg sets a new course!

Timed to coincide with the opening of the EXPO 2000 in Hannover and under the motto "People, cars and what moves them...", the Volkswagen group opened the doors of their AUTOSTADT (Car City) in Wolfsburg, Germany on the 1st June 2000. Originally planned as a customer delivery centre, the idea for something larger came into being in late 1995 and with building commencing in May 1998 the complex was able to open to the public on June 1st 2000. Back-dropped by the impressive scenery of the main Volkswagen works-complex, an information and entertainment park based on the theme "Automobiles And Movement", has been realised, the dimensions of which really do bring to mind a small town. The AUTOSTADT is a unique experience and competence centre and is situated in a 62 acre park landscape and, with its many remarkable events and attractions, it represents a new generation of service and support platform. The AUTOSTADT endeavours to be a world- forum for "automobility" and a Centre of Excellence for a new service quality and service awareness within the VW group.

AUTOSTADT, a centre of excellence and entertainment, has become an absolute must for anyone interested in anything to do with cars: automobile interpretations by internationally renowned artists, architects, film makers, photographers, video and computer specialists. The town has many attractions: a park with pavilions, lakes, lagoons, bridges and wells - water in its most beautiful form, roads, squares and houses almost entirely of glass, a museum, a hotel, many restaurants, cafes and terraces on the waterfront and in the sun, everything just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. Not only in the Spring, when the more than 10 000 planted bulbs will turn the AUTOSTADT into a see of flowers and colour, is a visit worthwhile.

The many fold duties placed on the information and entertainment lines in the AUTOSTADT required a non-compromising realisation of the highest expectations of the sound system. In close co-operation with the AUTOSTADT planers and technicians it was possible to stage some successful solutions, both acoustically and optically underlining the exclusivity of the total concept. GAE is proud to have been able to bring an acoustical contribution to the success of the AUTOSTADT.
