The GAE Waveline line-array system represents the result of an intensive physical and economic investigation into the market necessities in the field of touring and installation. Based on the experience of users and consultants a huge variety of approaches have been considered. The essence of these reflections builds special options for the development and – designing the Waveline System – has been put into practice:

The combination of two 10” Neodymium transducers of the low-/mid range, each incorporating a 3” voice coil, allows a very low crossover frequency, which raises drastically the power handling capacity. This way the Waveline System is suitable for non-restrictive full range use. The GAE HF-Phase-EQ coupled to a high power 2” Neodymium-driver achieves an accurate and highly exact sound conduction in the high-tone range, which results in an extended high frequency bandwidth.

The construction determines an extremely low crossover frequency to the compression driver which optimizes the horizontal dispersion of the system. Because of the high radiation-resistance the overall system comes up with an outstanding mid-tone performance. As the double-10”-construction enables a low tuning frequency of 80Hz, a smooth transition to a subwoofer, employed in ground stacking, is guaranteed. Beyond that the GAE Waveline System displays an enormous efficiency in full range application.

Deduced from the experiences made with the twin-coaxial principle used with the GAE Director Top an extremely exact symmetric dispersion will be established in the Waveline System. The overall construction is left/right symmetric, thus a concise utilization for the user and fitter results.

The stack-cradle together with the attached outriggers enable the mounting of up to 6 WaveLine elements as ground-stacking. The frame of the stack-cradle fits to GAE's basses BR118, BR218, Director-Bass and Director-Single-Bass and enables a secure mounting of 3 WaveLine elements.

For simulation and calculating of acoustical configurations GAE provides the EASE Focus Aiming Software from SDA (Software Design Ahnert GmbH). The EASE Focus Aiming Software is a two-dimensional acoustic simulation software that serves for the configuration and modelling of Line-Arrays close to reality.

The GAE WaveLine Bass system is an extremely high-power vented subwoofer loaded with a modern 18" long-excursion cone driver, equipped with an high-engineered magnet system and an extremely powerfull voice-coil. The enclosure is exactly tuned to the loudspeaker unit end provides an extension to the lowest frequencies at highest performance.

For installation purposes the handles can be dismounted, special colours for the housing on request.

The GAE WaveLine Bass fits to the GAE WaveLine line-array-system, so it is possible to use it as upper component within a rig or as base using the stacking option. It is also possible to fly several basses as an stand-alone bass rig.

Special editions without handles or special colours are possible. In addition the systems was designed for small cluster entities to provide a precise sound reinforcement in complex acoustical and constructional environments.

GAE’s WaveLine PT Bass is a high power subwoofer system, equipped with a 12" high performance sub low loudspeaker, equipped with a 4" voice coil and an extremely heavy-duty Neodymium engine. The system captivates with high efficiency within it’s extended low frequency range, which was achieved by a very special tunnel geometry. In this way the system features a remarkable low frequency efficiency/housing dimension ratio. The system offers a high dynamic behaviour, generated by using a significantly adjusted parameter’s loudspeaker with high magnetic flux.

The system is designed to be operated by a standard configurational third path of a 3-way system, also parallel driven to a standard bass ground support. No special equalization is necessary, thus a simple parallel combination with all of GAE’s BR-types is possible.

The very discreet flying mechanism is housed in the loudspeaker’s enclosure without attracting attention. On request the handles on the front can be removed. The shape relates just to 2 elements WaveLine PT. Special editions without handles or special colours i.e. for fixed installations are possible.

The WaveLine PT Bass can be combined as top flown element with WaveLine PT elements within a line, as well as a separate and parallel hung bass-line with a couple of PT Bass systems. Used with the stack-cradle the PT Bass serves as basic element at the bottom of the line.

The impedance of 8 ohms enables a parallel operating of 3 WaveLine PT Bass systems at one channel of a modern high power amplifier.

The new WaveLine Pack is a twin-coaxial and extremely tight designed array unit with a vertical opening angle of 30° and a horizontal directivity of 110°. This axial symmetrical setting provides an optimum to solve numerous sound challenges.

Based on the experiences of the twin-coaxial-principle applied in the GAE-WaveLine- and WaveLine-PT-systems, WaveLine Pack provides the well-known exact symmetrical dispersion.

From the acoustical experiences based on the WaveLine-PT system the dynamics concept could be proven without any limitations. Therefore the logical consequence was the downsizing to a compact stand-alone unit. Maintaining the same high efficiency and dynamic standard, a new "simple-to-handle" system could be achieved.

The enormous acoustical capacity together with excellent high dynamics enable a usage of simply one unit per side as FOH system or as nearfill within large WaveLine- or WaveLine-PT applications.

The nominal impedance of 6 ohms for the low/mid and high range performs an optimal load for the driving power amplifier, even for the usage of two parallel systems at each channel.

The extraordinary compactness of WaveLine Pack is realized by an extremely tight constructive alignment of the six 6,5“ low/mid and the three 1,4“ compression drivers.

Furthermore the combination of six 6,5” Neodymium transducers of the low-/mid range, each incorporating an 1,5” voice coil, allows a low crossover frequency. The orientation to the best possible road capability is demonstrated in the sophisticated method of loudspeaker alignment as well as in the elaborated mounting parts and optional rigging assemblies.

Ergonomically designed handles at the top and bottom sides pander to a simple erection of the WaveLine-Pack-systems.

The mounting bracket construction enables either a direct assembly on bass systems or a usage as flying rigging yoke. A metal-to-metal-design guarantees highest safety standard.

The threaded mounting flanges within the side walls of the housing are optically restrained. The complete handling is simple and optimized.

Mounting the unit in fixed installations the locking handles can be replaced by metric screws. The heads of the screws can be covered nearly invisible with black or coloured plastic caps.

For a gentle mobile application flight cases for one or two units are available.
